Impacting lives in San Diego—and beyond
Ellen Browning Scripps established Scripps Research in 1924 with the vision of turning life-changing science into life-saving medicines.
For 100 years, Scripps Research scientists have expanded the impact of our institution across the globe. Their work pioneering transformative discoveries and accelerating the translation of that science to improve lives has benefitted human health around the world.
This extraordinary impact across the last century was recognized by the City of San Diego, declaring February 15, 2024, as Scripps Research Day.
